Jack Says
"Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!"

Jack has decided that he prefers us to just use his update page at the moment to let you all know how he is doing and what he is up to until he feels more confident using the computer himself. At the moment he is not quite up to reading from the screen himself without help, though he can use the keyboard quite well, so to save me doing all the work twice, we will just use the update page until further notice.
Thank you
Well, Jack seems to be back to normal. No more temperatures and wanting to be out and about playing. Seems Katie has a painful tummy today, looks like it's her turn. At least they all got out of the house for a while today with a visit to Grandma's

Jack still throwing temperatures up to 39 .C. Off school again today along with Gemma, Katie, Sophie and Dad, who all seem to be feeling off colour with tummy pains, headaches, feeling cold and shivery. So far only Jack following my footsteps of last weekend with the high temperature though.
By bedtime tonight, Jack seemed to be staying a little cooler so hopefully he's starting to kick it at last. I do hope so as it is so much more worrying when he is poorly, even though we treat him as though he is just normal, we can't help but feel unnerved by it.
Oh well, lets see what tomorrow brings (again)!
Helen

Well, Jack continued to throw 38.8 -39.C temperatures overnight and for most of today. He has stayed off school again and spent most of the day lying on the settee sleeping or watching DVD's. He seems to have an upset stomach and a headache, but no vomiting- thankfully. Otherwise he is uncomplaining. It is reassurring to be able to just give him the necessary Calpol/Ibuprofen to help with the fever. Not eating but tolerating fluids. Again, we just have to watch and wait for things to settle down.
Lets see what tomorrow brings.

Jack's a poorly boy today.
He went to school this morning having eaten very little breakfast and with a headache. He said he was OK, but I gave him a dose of calpol anyway, safe in the knowledge that if he became more poorly at school they would phone me.
He stayed all day . He got off the school bus tonight with his head hanging and very quiet. Once home he went to his room, changed then reappeared wanting cuddles, and saying he felt cold. He said he still had a bit of a headache but not too bad. He felt quite hot so I took his temperature - 38.8C. A good dose of calpol and nice cuddle later and he was snuggled up with NooNoo on the settee. He did eat some plain spagetti for tea and a small fairy cake, but I had to feed it too him. He could hardly keep his head up off the table. After a brief rest on the settee again, I got him into bed by 6 pm with a dvd to watch, but he fairly soon fell asleep. Lets hope it is short lived and he is soon bouncing back. It is still such a worry with him, even though it's probably just a cold/flu like illness!!!
Anyway, lets see what tomorrow brings.

Hello Everyone,
Jack here back from my first ever camping holiday which I really loved. It is soooo much fun living in a tent - we came home for a week then went back to Cornwall for another week of camping. I went in the sea for the first time since I was about 3 yrs old and I learnt how to bodyboard - so cool. I had the most fantastic time riding the waves with everyone, I didn't want to leave the beach.
Mum and Dad took us fishing and me and Gemma each caught a fish - a small wrasse which is not edible so we threw them back. When we go on our next holiday we are going to take more rods - mum and dad have quite a few as they used to do a lot of fishing - and do some different types of fishing to see if we can catch some different types of fish.
I went back to school last Monday and I'm in a new class now as I am in year 3, and I have a new teacher who is very nice. It was great to see all my friends again. I had to have a day off on Tuesday as I was poorly with a heavy cold/sore throat etc, but I went back on Wednesday (Gemma and Katie took it in turns to have Weds and Thursday off with the same thing. Copycats !!!!)
Mum is hoping to download some new photos onto my site very soon and is trying hard to get hers and Dad's page completed to download for you to read.
Anyway, that's all for now
Take care + Lots of Love

I am looking forward to having a break from Mum and Dad and staying with my Grandma and Nana for a few days each, and trying my hand at camping if this rain ever stops long enough!!! ![]()

I am going to Clinic this week on Thursday for my first check up since my treatment finished.
I will have a blood test to check my blood levels are good, and see my consultant and the nurses.
It will be nice to see them as it has been 4 weeks since I saw them and I haven't had a blood test for 4 weeks either- it has been nice not having to have my finger pricked and squeezed !!!.
I can tell them I have been swimming every day too, as I hadn't been swimming since before I was diagnosed.
Anyway, bye for now

Pleased to say I started to feel much better yesterday afternoon and mum said I could go back to school today.
Dad said because of this we could go fishing and we went up the lake for about an hour and a half. I have never been fishing before and even though none of the fish wanted to jump on our lines, it was great fun.
The fish were HUGE!! We could see them in the water. Hopefully, we can go again next week. I am really looking forward to it.
I went to school today and went swimming again and had a great time.
Bye for now
Jack
